Award-winning director, screenwriter, and producer based in Los Angeles and New York.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ari began his career as an actor, performing plays professionally starting at age 7. After studying Theatre at Northwestern University, he completed the Actors Theatre of Louisville Acting Apprentice Program and headed to New York, where he immediately fell in with the sketch comedy/film collective Means Of Productions.

Dozens of sketches and short films later, Ari now works as a freelance filmmaker and producer, screening his films at festivals across the world and capturing awards such as “Best New Director” at the Independent Shorts Awards and Best Student Short at the Crown Wood Film Festival. His films explore the intricacies of romance, grief, and joy through hypnotic imagery and poignant soundscapes. Passionate about collaborative filmmaking, Ari eagerly seeks new and diverse collaborative voices as well as established creatives to craft thrilling, complex stories.

Ari is currently pursuing his MFA in Screenwriting/Directing at Columbia University School of the Arts.
